In 2021, three friends banded together to create a Minecraft PVP minigame named "Blitz Bow". Despite their efforts, the game didn't gain much traction. They shifted gears to a new project called "Behind Us" on a Minecraft server. This eerie game involved one Ghost and several Runners navigating a sprawling, dark map to survive for a set duration. As the server expanded to encompass four maps and the team grew, they adopted the team name "Behind Us Team". However, over time, the project faded into obscurity and eventually came to a halt.

After a period of disbandment, in 2022, they came back together for a bigger Minecraft server: "Team Byte: The Backrooms". Themed after the popular "Backrooms" Creepypasta story, it showcased greater ambition and progress than their previous projects. This marked the birth of a new team identity, "Team Byte," which persists to this day. As the team and server flourished, amassing a community of 1,000 members on Discord, challenges emerged. Unfortunately, in 2023, servers stress and issues led to its shutdown.

Shortly after the shutdown, we started work on a revival of Behind Us. However, this didn't get far into development, and in July 2024 we decided to return to the Backrooms and try again to fix the issues we were having. Where we were successful!

Today, we continue to support Team Byte: The Backrooms, and it has become the largest Backrooms based Minecraft server! And we still have a lot of ideas for the future, so stay tuned!
